But the club has opened online voting for its annual team awards and announced the list of "Black Aces" who are expected to join the main roster for training camp, scheduled for July 10.

I agree about Gaudette . I am looking forward to seeing what he brings in the next two years. I expect good things from him.

I was also happy with MacEwens play for the Canucks after the year he was having in Utica. His games here this year reminded me of why I liked him early. It looks like it sank in what he needs to do.

I wish the NHL would finalize some things like dates and numbers. Then teams can get busy signing the players. Mixed feelings about Tryamkin I would like to see one more chance. I know how his game has turned but maybe still a cheap option.

Do you feel like Tryamkin is better than some of the other options? I just feel we have other options that can do what he does. I just don't think he's got the mobility of a Brisebois or even Sautner. He's huge which shouldn't be discounted but in his first go round he wasn't consistently physical.

I feel the same I just think he wants to be paid like 5-6 when he's in my not so expert opinion a 7? I feel like if we are a bit tight to the cap we could get similar production and value for money out of an entry level contract. I think Tryamkin is better used as a trade chip. Again it's just how I feel and my opinion.

I think there is a 50/50 chance to play playoffs this year and a 30/70 chance of a season next year so I am not sure it would matter.

In my mind, depending on how the dominoes fall in the "offseason" whenever that is, he's definitely an option. Just not a 2-3 million multi year option at this point. He still has lots to prove at the NHL level.
